🌸 Parent Package given out yesterday. Please refer to it as needed. Thank you.
🌸 Our French Speaking Monitoring System started today and a few students lost all of their clothespins; however, most students were able to keep them. For today, I felt it should be a practice run, but as of tomorrow, the notes to be signed by parents will go home. (Please refer to yesterday's Parent Package if unsure of the purpose of this system. Thank you.)
🌸 Math: Students are to practice their x2, x4, and x8 math facts (multiplication) for 10 minutes. Parents can assist their child using dice, cards, etc. Thanks.
🌸 "Carnet French Reading" was explained a few times last week and began yesterday. For the period of Sept. 12th - 18th, there should be a total of 5 readings of 15 minutes done over 5 different days (see the short explanation on the right under "Items of note"; a clearer explanation can be found in your Parent Package that you received today). Students received their levelled reading books last week and these should easily last for a week or two as repeated readings are encouraged to improve fluency. Thank you!
🌸 As Remembrance Day approaches, the Legion has once again put forward their yearly contests. Further information can be found at www.legion.ca/contests . Students who would like to participate in any of these contests are to let me know tomorrow and I will photocopy a pamphlet for them. Please remember, the information can also be found online. We usually have good representation from EPS!
