🌸 Mr. Dryden (Ethan's dad) was in our class today with an excellent, highly informative, visual, and hands-on presentation on Fire Prevention and the role of a Firefighter. The class was very eager to hear, learn, and participate in the discussions around this fascinating service career.

- Collected weather data: This assignment was due on Tuesday of this week. For students who have not completed their 10 entries, they will continue recording each day (including weekends now), until the 10 daily entries are done and then pass it in. Thank you. I am still waiting on the return of 3.
🌸 Assessment "Unité 2 - Évaluation 1 et 2" on the N1 outcomes was returned to students today to review, get signed by a parent, and return tomorrow. Thank you.
🌸 French writing for this week: Each child is creating a fun descriptive writing piece of their friendly Halloween monster
🌸 Math: Students are to practice their x2, x4, x8, x3, x6, x10, x5, x9, x7math facts (multiplication) for 10 minutes. Parents can assist their child using dice, cards, etc.
These are the outcomes that we are continuing to work on this week:
N1a: "Read and write whole numbers to 1 000 000."
N1b: "Describe personal referents for large benchmark numbers (100, 1000, 10 000, 100 000, 250 000, 500 000, 750 000, 1 000 000)."
N1c: "Flexibly express numbers in a variety of ways, including expanded notation."
N1d: "Describe the value of number digits and the pattern of place value."
Today's specific math homework: Students received two worksheets - one indicates the population stats of our Canadian provinces and territories and the other is the form to use to write the populations out using the place value table and in "ordre croissant" (least to greatest).
🌸 "Carnet French Reading": For the period of Oct. 24th - 28th , there should be a total of 5 readings of 15 minutes done over 5 different days (see the short explanation on the right under "Items of note".) Carnet needs to be handed in completed on Monday, October 31st. Thank you.
