🌸 I am waiting on the return of 5 Math assessments and 4 Weather assessments. Thank you for all that were already returned.
🌸 Math: Students are to practice their x2, x4, x8, x3, x6, x10, x5, x9, x7math facts (multiplication) for 10 minutes. Parents can assist their child using dice, cards, etc.
Over the next few weeks, we will be exploring the "Estimation" and "Diagramme à bandes double" outcomes. (N1 outcomes will be reviewed, at various times, throughout the year.)
Here are the SP2 outcomes that we are examining over the next few weeks:
SP2 - Construct and interpret double bar graphs to draw conclusions.
SP2a)Represent a set of data by creating a double bar graph without technology, including appropriate
title, axis headings, scales, legend, and pairs of bars separate from other pairs
SP2b) Draw conclusions from double bar graphs to answer questions
SP2c) Solve problems by constructing and interpreting double bar graphs
*Today we learned what a double bar graph looks like.
**I have added some strategy photos under the dropdown menu "Math" - "Extra Help With Math" Please reference as needed for current concepts.
Today's specific math homework: review any unsure concepts of Primary and Secondary data, and the Single Bar Graph and all its precise elements if needed.
In addition, we are continuing to look at Estimation Strategies such as rounding to the nearest specific place value (i.e. 357 083 arrondi à l'unité de mille près devient 357 000).
🌸 "Carnet French Reading": For the period of Nov. 14th - 18th , there should be a total of 5 readings of 15 minutes done over 5 different days (see the short explanation on the right under "Items of note".) Carnet needs to be handed in completed on Monday, November 21st . Thank you
