🌸 I am waiting on the return of 3 "SP1 Summative assessments (first and second-hand data" and 5 "Summative Archaeology assessments". Thank you to all who have already brought theirs in.
🌸 Math: Students are to practice their x2, x4, x8, x3, x6, x10, x5, x9, x7math facts (multiplication) for 10 minutes. Parents can assist their child using dice, cards, etc.
We are now exploring "Estimation" outcomes. A summative SP1 & SP2 assessment (data and graphing) will be this Thursday, December 8th. See the outline under Evaluations.
Here are the N2 outcomes that we are examining over the next few weeks:
N2a) Use compatible numbers to estimate a sum or product in a variety of contexts, including those in which overestimating is important.
N2b) Use compensation to estimate the solution to a problems with a variety of context, including those in which overestimating is important.
N2c) Use front-end rounding to estimate in a variety of contexts and all four operations, including those in which overestimating is important.
N2d) Select and use an efficient estimation strategy for a given problem (including but not limited to compatible numbers, compensation, and front-end rounding).
